Jin Sha Zhou Eco-town is located in the north-west of Guangzhou City, with an occupation area of 9.3 square kilometers. The idea of introducing automated wasted collection system in Jin Sha Zhou was advocated by the Mayor of Guangzhou. Since the city had no previous experience of the system, Jin Sha Zhou Eco-town is a pilot project with green profile for the local authority.
As it is a mega project, the construction of Envac’s system has been divided into four districts to build four collection stations. The public network is financed by government while the rest of it is an investment by private real estate developers.
All in all, seven Envac systems will be built in Jin Sha Zhou. The system will transport one waste fraction to the collection stations and from there it is then taken by lorry for incineration. In the near future, all together, about 45,000 households with 150,000 inhabitants will be servided by an Envac vacuum waste collection system. Definitely, the Envac system will make a big difference in hygienic conditions in residential areas, to the joy of both residents and cleaning staff.
